Ministry Of Education Announces Exam Registration Dates For KPSEA, KJSEA and KCSE Students

The Ministry of Education has announced the registration dates for national examinations that will be sat in 2026. Schools across the country are expected to follow the timelines strictly to avoid locking out candidates.

According to the schedule released by the Ministry, registration for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment will run from February 16 to March 16, 2026.

All primary schools are required to submit details of eligible Grade Six learners within this period.

At the same time, registration for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education will begin on February 16 and close on March 31, 2026.

Secondary schools have been advised to confirm the accuracy of candidates’ personal information before submission. This includes names, gender, and subject entries.

The Kenya Junior School Education Assessment will have a slightly different timeline. Registration for this exam will start on March 2 and end on March 31, 2026.

Junior school heads are expected to work closely with county education offices to ensure all learners are captured.

Education officials have warned schools against registering ghost candidates. They have also cautioned institutions not to present unqualified learners for the exams.

Only students who meet the set requirements should be entered into the system.
