"I Campaigned And Voted For Him" SC Ahmednassir Admits As He Changes His Tune On This Top Leader

A fresh political storm is brewing after senior lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi sharply criticised Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja over the state of the city.

His remarks came at a time when the National Government and Nairobi City County Government are preparing to sign a cooperation agreement at State House. The agreement is expected to outline how the two levels of government will work together in managing key services in the capital.

Ahmednasir did not hold back in his reaction. He said he supported Sakaja during the last election and voted for him with hope. Four years later, he now believes the city has deteriorated under Sakaja’s leadership.

He described Nairobi as poorly managed and struggling with basic services. According to him, the governor has failed to deliver on promises that were made during the campaign period.

The lawyer’s comments quickly gained traction online. Many residents echoed his concerns about garbage collection, traffic congestion, drainage problems, and rising insecurity in some estates.

Others defended the governor, arguing that Nairobi’s challenges are deep rooted and cannot be solved within one term.

Sakaja has previously dismissed claims that he plans to hand over county functions to the national administration. He maintained that no powers have been surrendered and that reports suggesting otherwise are misleading.
