"He Left ODM For Gachagua Long Ago" Peter Kaluma Lauds Sifuna's Removal as the ODM SG, Claims it Was Long Overdue

Peter Kaluma has openly supported the removal of Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna from his job as Secretary General of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

Kaluma said the removal was long overdue and very necessary because Sifuna had been causing problems inside the party for a long time.He did not hide his feelings and said Sifuna had stopped being loyal to ODM and was secretly working with other politicians while still in the party.

Kaluma said that Sifuna had already joined Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s side long ago but stayed inside ODM, and this made him a big problem.According to Kaluma, Sifuna was “wrecking the party from inside” because he was supporting leaders outside the party while pretending to be loyal.

He said this was not fair to other party members and it showed that Sifuna had no discipline at all.Kaluma added that Sifuna’s actions were not a sign of democracy, freedom of speech, or independent thinking.

Instead, they were a series of contradictions because Sifuna took part in party meetings and decisions but later went against them. He said Sifuna was creating confusion and tension in the party, and that could not continue.

That is why removing him from the Secretary General position was correct and necessary.Kaluma went further and said Sifuna should also be removed from his leadership role in the National Assembly.

He compared this to UDA removing former legislator Khalwale when he was not following party rules. Kaluma said holding someone in a leadership position while they are working against the party is dangerous and weakens the party’s power.

Kaluma also said that Catherine Omanyo is a good choice to take over as acting Secretary General. He said she is disciplined, strong, and will help fix the problems that Sifuna caused.

He ended his statement by saying “Good riddance” to Sifuna, showing that many people in the party feel relieved that he is finally gone.Political watchers say Kaluma’s words show that ODM leaders are serious about loyalty and discipline.

They want to make sure that party members follow the rules and work together before the next general elections. Even though Sifuna’s future in the party and in parliament is still uncertain, Kaluma made it very clear: no more indiscipline, no more internal sabotage, and no more people working against the party from inside.
