The video, which was shot by one of the passengers in the bus, captured the action of a motorist who was driving a white privately owned car overtaking the bus.
The bus driver pulled behind shouting loudly in apparent anger and screaming as events unfolded.
At one time, the bus driver tried seeing the motorist by driving side by side, as though to challenge him. He soon fell back, however, as the motorist drew a gun.
The driver of the vehicle fired the shot into the air and drove off leaving the passengers and the bus driver in a state of shock.
The bus driver recovered and continued to chase the car with a call to stop despite the shock.
The motorist then drove recklessly swerving on both sides in front of the bus in what seemed like a display of bravado.
He at length reduced speed and reached out his hands apparently teasing the driver. Even one of the bus crew members was spotted hanging through the door, indicating to the motorist to stop driving recklessly.
“Pass me a stone so I can teach you how to deal with this man,” a voice was heard from inside the bus, reflecting the rising tension among passengers.
The driver sped away a few minutes later, and the bus driver and passengers were seen to be agitated and angry.
The video was promptly shared on social media which elicited a high response among Kenyans.
