Sifuna Sends Mudavadi to Ruto to Convey Message Regarding ODM Pact With Gov't Ahead of 2027 Polls

While speaking during the burial service of former Lugari constituency Member of Parliament MP late Cyrus Jirongo, that was held on Tuesday, 30th, December 2025, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Secretary General (SG) Edwin Sifuna was not shy to direct attack to leaders in government who have been pushing for a new pre-election pact with ODM ahead of 2027 polls.

As a result, Sifuna urged Prime Cabinet Secretary CS Musalia Mudavadi to convey to his boss and the Head of State President William Ruto, that he is being conned by fake ODM brokers who are pushing for a new pact with UDA administration, yet the ten point agenda that late Raila Odinga signed with Ruto has not yet been fulfilled.

"I want to send you (Musalia Mudavadi) to President William Ruto, I thought he would be here so that I could tell him face-to-face that the ODM party does not owe him anything apart from fulfilling the ten point agenda agreement that he signed with the late Hon Raila Amollo Odinga." Edwin Sifuna indicated while making his remarks.

Before concluding his speech, Sifuna moved to warn that the government should avoid being conned by fake brokers as that will only lead to chaos in the upcoming days.

"If you hear another person speaking on behalf of ODM party, and asking for a new pact or indicating that Ruto needs to repay us, tell him that there is nothing we want from him! How can you sit on a table to make new discussions and the old pact has not yet been fulfilled." Edwin Sifuna added.
