The incident happened in Mbooni, where relatives say a man killed his wife inside their bedroom before he was later found dead moments later.

According to a close family member, the couple’s arguments had become frequent and were no longer limited to their home.

“We were always called to calm them down,” the man said. “We tried to talk to them many times, but peace never lasted.”
The situation reportedly worsened on the night of the incident. Family members say the couple returned home in the evening and soon after began arguing.
Their children were in the house when things turned violent.
The couple’s daughter later told relatives that she heard her mother scream before everything went quiet.
Fearing the worst, she tried calling for help after noticing unusual sounds coming from the house.
Before his death, the man is said to have left a written message instructing that his children be taken care of by his mother.
Family members say this discovery deepened their pain, as it showed his actions were deliberate and planned.
The man’s mother said she was shocked by the events, noting that the couple had recently appeared to have settled their issues.
She recalled receiving a late-night phone call from her son, which raised concern but did not prepare her for what followed.
“I rushed there after the child called me crying,” she said. “What I found broke my heart.”
She added that she now faces the burden of caring for her grandchildren despite lacking the financial means to do so.
