President William Ruto has received assurances of strong backing from Western Kenya ahead of the 2027 General Election.
A section of Members of Parliament from the region claim that residents are increasingly expressing support for Ruto’s re-election, attributing the growing sentiment to his recent development initiatives in the area.
Lurambi MP Titus Khamala said the President’s development tour of Western Kenya has significantly boosted his popularity among locals.
“If you go to Kakamega now, many residents are talking about giving Ruto a second term because he has transformed our region through various development programmes,” Khamala said in Chepsaita, Uasin Gishu, as quoted by The Star.
Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe echoed the remarks, noting that the region hopes to produce the next Head of State once Ruto completes his second term.
Ruto has repeatedly expressed confidence in getting re-elected, dismissing his rivals in the opposition as too weak to prevent his win.
