President William Ruto expressed pride in the success of the broad-based government in the recent by-elections throughout the country.
On Friday, November 28, 2025, during the launch of the Mau Summit-Rironi Road event, Ruto said that the results showed what kind of leadership the people wanted.
The broad-based alliance won all six National Assembly seats.
The UDA party had significant victories in Malava, Mbeere North, Banissa, Baringo Senate, and several wards.
The ODM kept control in Kasipul, Magarini, and Ugunja.
Ruto said, “The people have clearly chosen the broad-based alliance among the six parties that lost.
Is that true or not?”
He added, “Now the people have received these results.
We will continue working hard and with unity.”

Ruto called the success a confirmation from Kenyans that they support the kind of leadership they want.
He thanked all the supporters from every part of the country.
He said, “I want to express my deep gratitude. I assure you that we will not betray the trust placed in us. The Kenyans have clearly shown that they do not want betrayal or violence.”
He urged the opposition to focus on issues rather than on personal attacks.
“I want to tell our friends that we do not want a divided country.
Do not spread ethnic hatred or division. Tell us your plans and goals. One-term and Kasongo are not real agendas. It’s all about hatred,” he said.
The UDA also claimed wins in several Member of County Assemblies (MCA) seats.
