"Raila Sent Us As Spies" Speculations As Top CS Bows Down To Pressure, Finally Reveals This

Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has likened himself and a group of ODM leaders to the biblical spies sent to explore Canaan, saying their mission is to assess the state of leadership and governance under President William Ruto’s administration.

Mbadi said Raila Odinga, whom he referred to as “our Moses,” had been shown the path to Canaan—symbolizing the presidency—but was instructed by God to first send his trusted men to observe and bring back a report.

Mbadi stated that he, together with Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi and other ODM ministers, represents those spies sent to examine the land.

He humorously noted that their findings show Canaan is full of development and progress, suggesting that their presence in government was part of Raila’s broader vision for transformation.

The Treasury boss added that ODM’s participation in government is not betrayal but a divine assignment meant to prepare the ground for the party’s ultimate leadership journey.

He emphasized that the experiences gained in their current roles will help shape Raila’s future political moves and strengthen the party’s influence in national affairs.

Mbadi’s statement sparked excitement among ODM supporters, who interpreted it as a sign that Raila’s political mission is still alive.

His remarks also reignited conversations about ODM’s cooperation with the Kenya Kwanza administration and its implications for the 2027 elections.
