Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga has painted former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as a no-nonsense guy who never entertained bad behaviour.
He has stated that Raila would hit those who engaged in such, terming him a person who was always ready to use his hands to instill discipline.
"Raila was a no-nonsense man. He entertained no mediocrity. If you came across him with lies or something dishonest, his left hand was very fast,” he said on Friday, as reported by The Star.
Oburu said this at Raila's State Funeral service at Nyayo Stadium.
His remark echoes ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale's revelation, that Raila almost slapped him once for proposing that they too engage in election rigging like their opponents.
"He turned blue, looked at me with sharp eyes, switched his phone from the left to the right hand. Then I knew he was about to smack my face," Etale says on X.
He says that he had to apologise to avoid a smack.
