Compared to Kibaki and Uhuru, Ruto has Done Far Better & There's No Mega Corruption - Peter Kaluma

Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma has lauded President William Ruto’s leadership, saying his performance so far is better than that of former presidents Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking through his official X account, Kaluma said that under President Ruto, Kenyans from all regions feel included in the country’s development agenda.

He noted that unlike in the past, development projects are being implemented fairly without favoring certain communities or political zones.

According to Kaluma, one of Ruto’s strongest achievements is creating a sense of unity and national belonging.

“All people and all regions of Kenya feel integrated and included in development,” he wrote.

The legislator also praised Ruto for keeping his administration free from major corruption scandals, something he said had stained previous governments.

“So far no mega corruption has been reported,” Kaluma pointed out, noting that Kenyans have more trust in the current administration compared to the past.

Kaluma further said Ruto has managed to demystify the presidency, making it more about serving the people than displaying power.

He explained that Ruto has broken the culture of leadership that separates the presidency from ordinary citizens.

Instead, he has made the office accessible and focused on delivering services to Kenyans without class-based distinctions.

“Ruto has directed the presidency to serve all Kenyans equally, without divisions of class or political background,” the MP said.

His remarks sparked mixed reactions online, with some Kenyans agreeing with him while others expressed skepticism.

Supporters said Ruto’s administration had indeed brought fairness in development projects, pointing to initiatives like the Hustler Fund and the equal distribution of infrastructure projects.

Critics, however, argued that it was still too early to make such comparisons and insisted that challenges such as the high cost of living remain unsolved.

Kaluma’s comments come at a time when President Ruto is marking two years in office.
