Babu Owino Makes Important Announcement About Leaving ODM, Discloses Why He's Fighting Ruto

Embakasi East Member of Parliament, Babu Owino, has maintained that he remains a member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.

The parliamentarian has clarified that he has not left the outfit, and still considers former Prime Minister Raila Odinga his party leader.

Owino stated that despite being seen as a rebel and a traitor by some party members, he still subscribes to the ideologies of the the party and Raila.

“I am still in ODM, and Baba, Raila Odinga, is my party leader whom I really respect” he said on Radio Citizenon Wednesday.

He also made it clear that he has nothing personal against President William Ruto, who has been working closely with Raila in recent months.

Owino pointed out that his only issue with Ruto are things to do with Kenyans, but maintained that his respect for the Head of State remains intact.

“I respect Ruto as a leader. My criticism has been on issues relating to wananchi, such as the SHA, the education sector, and many others. My criticism has been on issues and not individuals," he stated.
