ODM's Evening Chilling Message To Babu Owino After Raila's Death, Telling Him What to Do

A wave of emotions swept across the political scene on Tuesday evening after the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) sent a powerful and emotional message to Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, urging him to remain loyal to the party during this difficult moment.

The message, delivered by Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma, came shortly after murmurs emerged suggesting that Babu might be considering distancing himself from ODM following the shocking news of Raila Odinga’s death.

In his statement, Kaluma appealed to Babu Owino not to abandon the ODM family, reminding him that loyalty and unity are what will keep Raila Odinga’s vision alive.

Baba ametuacha, tafadhali rudi nyumbani. Do not let anger or pain drive you away from the movement that made you who you are,” Kaluma stated emotionally.

His words carried the pain and confusion felt by millions of ODM supporters who are still struggling to come to terms with the loss of their iconic leader.

Kaluma further emphasized that ODM remains strong despite the tragedy, and the responsibility now lies with the younger generation of leaders like Babu Owino to carry on Raila’s mission of justice, equality, and good governance.

This is not the time to divide or blame each other. It’s time to unite and protect Baba’s legacy,” he added.

Political analysts say Kaluma’s message was not only a call for unity but also a warning against internal wrangles that could weaken the party at a critical moment.

As emotions run high within ODM, all eyes are now on Babu Owino — whether he will heed Kaluma’s heartfelt plea and reaffirm his commitment to the movement that shaped his political journey.
