According to available news sources, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has assured Kenyans that the opposition will remain united as the country prepares for the 2027 general elections.
Kalonzo said that the unity of the opposition parties is the only way to ensure that President William Ruto serves for only one term in office.
Speaking during a public gathering, Kalonzo called on all opposition leaders to put aside their differences and focus on working together for the benefit of Kenyans.
He reminded his supporters that division within the opposition would only strengthen the ruling Kenya Kwanza government and weaken the voice of the people.
Kalonzo emphasized that a united opposition will be able to offer strong leadership and provide an alternative that addresses the real challenges facing citizens.
The Wiper leader said the opposition has a duty to protect the interests of ordinary Kenyans who are struggling with the high cost of living, unemployment, and increasing taxes.
He promised that their coalition will continue to push for accountability, transparency, and fairness in government operations.
Kalonzo also said that they will continue to defend the Constitution and fight against any decisions that do not serve the public interest.
In his remarks, Kalonzo warned President Ruto’s administration against the planned privatization of the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC). He said that KPC is a key national asset and should not be sold to private individuals or companies.
According to him, such a move would risk putting the country’s energy security in the hands of a few powerful people, which would not benefit ordinary citizens.
Kalonzo urged Kenyans to stay alert and support leaders who value the nation’s resources and welfare.
He added that the opposition will continue to stand firm in defending the country’s economic interests and ensuring that the government remains accountable to the people.
The Wiper Party leader’s remarks come at a time when discussions about political alliances and strategies for the 2027 elections are intensifying across the country.
