My Man Threatened To Chase Me Away After He Landed A Well Paying Job, Heartbroken Woman Reveals

My name is Martha, and I never imagined that the man who once swore eternal love to me would one day start treating me like I was just another woman in his past. Everything changed when he got a high-paying job in Nairobi.

Suddenly, the man who used to call and text me every hour became too busy, too tired, and too “focused on his career.” I was proud of him, yes, but deep down I felt a growing fear that success had stolen his heart.

At first, I ignored the signs. He would come home late, sometimes with the smell of a woman’s perfume clinging faintly to his shirt. When I asked, he would laugh it off and say I was being insecure. Then he stopped inviting me to office events, saying I wouldn’t “fit in” with his colleagues.

That hurt the most because before his promotion, I was his everything his support system, his best friend, his peace.

Things worsened when he began sleeping in the guest room, claiming he needed to “rest without distractions.” I could feel the emotional distance growing daily.

One evening, he bluntly told me that maybe we needed a break so he could “figure things out.” I cried so much that night, not because he wanted space, but because I knew that “space” meant there was someone else already filling it.

For days, I couldn’t eat or sleep. My family advised me to move on, but I wasn’t ready to give up on a man I had built my life with.
