Gachagua's DCP Party Takes an Early Win in New Opinion Poll, See Results

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s DCP party has taken an early lead in a new online opinion poll conducted by Mizani Africa.

This reflects shifting dynamics within the emerging United Opposition bloc.

According to the poll, which had attracted 136 votes at the time of reporting, DCP secured a support percentage of 40, positioning itself as the most preferred party within the opposition wing.

The Jubilee Party followed with 32%, while Wiper Party garnered 17% and DAP-K tailed with 11%.

The results suggest growing grassroots support for Gachagua’s political base as discussions around new alliances and opposition formations intensify ahead of the 2027 general election.

Analysts view DCP’s early popularity as a sign that Gachagua’s political strategy may be resonating with a section of Kenyans seeking fresh leadership within the opposition ranks.

While the poll remains unscientific and limited to online participants, it offers an early glimpse into the public’s perception of the evolving political landscape, as parties position themselves for greater influence in the race to reshape Kenya’s political future.
