"Dont Even Think Of Winning" Analyst Speaks Of Ruto's Trouble Ahead of 2027 After Raila's Death

Veteran journalist and political analyst Macharia Gaitho has asserted that President William Ruto’s political stability is at risk following the death of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

According to Gaitho, Raila’s presence in the national political arena acted as a stabilizing force that kept the government in check and the opposition in balance.

He argued that Raila’s influence extended beyond opposition politics, shaping national discourse and ensuring that the administration maintained a degree of accountability.

Gaitho noted that Raila’s ability to command respect across the political divide often prevented the country from slipping into deep polarization.

“Without Raila, Ruto cannot even think of winning the next election,” Gaitho remarked, emphasizing that the former Prime Minister’s moral authority had anchored Kenya’s political system.

He explained that Raila’s capacity to mobilize millions and inspire unity made him a crucial pillar in both governance and opposition.

Gaitho further observed that Raila’s consistent advocacy for fairness and democracy helped legitimize political transitions, even when contentious.

His leadership, he added, created a sense of national direction and served as a counterbalance to state excesses.

The journalist warned that Raila’s absence could leave a vacuum that might trigger political instability if not carefully managed. He urged current leaders to rise above partisan interests and commit to preserving the values that Raila embodied.

Gaitho also highlighted the emotional and symbolic weight of Raila’s passing, noting that his legacy will remain a benchmark for future political actors.

He concluded that Kenya’s democracy now stands at a crossroads, where unity, tolerance, and inclusivity will determine whether the country sustains the ideals that Raila Odinga spent his life defending.
