"Do Something Baba" ODM MP Sends Bad News to Raila, Alleges What's in Store for the Party

Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has warned former prime minister Raila Odinga to act very fast to rescue the ODM party before it faces extinction.

The vocal ODM legislator noted that so far things are not working well with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), and the party honchos must address this issue very fast.

“As we speak, we are experiencing ‘Disco Matanga’ in ODM. Basically, it is dead; we are now dancing, waiting for the burial day. That’s what is happening. Something must be done urgently,” Amisi said.

According to Mr. Amis, the young Turks in the party must respect the party leader, Raila Odinga, and call the house into order by urgently addressing the more pressing issues.

“Some of us respect former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, and as much as we don’t agree, you will never hear me abusing him because he has a space in history, but young people do not understand that. They will abuse him on social media. Some of us do not agree with him completely, but we have told him to his face what is wrong; you will never hear us abuse him.” he added.

In addition, Mr. Amisi urged the likes of Senator Edwin Sifuna and MP Babu Owino to respect Raila Odinga, even if they don’t agree in terms of ideologies, because of the greater role he played democratically.

His remarks come when there has been division in the opposition party, where camps have emerged comprising key ODM figures from the Western and Nyanza regions, as the party faces a possible split before the 2027 elections.
