Bishop Kodia Who Preached At Nyayo Stadium During Raila's Memorial Service Claims His Life in Danger

Bishop Professor David Kodia of the Anglican Church in Bondo Diocese has claimed that his life is in danger after delivering a powerful sermon at Nyayo Stadium.

The bishop says that shortly after his speech, armed police officers allegedly sent by President William Ruto’s aide, Farouk Kibet, invaded his home.

Speaking to the media, Bishop Kodia said the officers arrived in full uniform and were armed with guns, creating panic among his family and neighbors.

He said he was shocked by the invasion and believes it was meant to intimidate him because of the message he delivered during the national prayer and memorial service for the late Raila Odinga.

“I was surprised to see armed police come to my home after my sermon. I have been told they were sent by Farouk. I have nothing to hide and I will not be silenced,” the bishop said.

During his sermon at Nyayo Stadium, Bishop Kodia spoke boldly about corruption and greed among politicians.

He praised Raila Odinga, saying the late leader never used money to influence people or buy loyalty. “Baba never used the power of money to intimidate people.

Today, we have bad manners among our politicians. They have taught our people the culture of handouts,” he said.

The bishop further warned those who have looted public resources that they will face condemnation.

He urged leaders to change their ways and work towards the betterment of the country. “Those with ears should listen and reform for the good of this nation,” he added.

Bishop Kodia’s claims have sparked public debate, with many Kenyans expressing concern over the safety of outspoken religious leaders and the shrinking space for free expression.
