In recent months, ODM party leader Raila Odinga has been speaking from both sides of the tongue, defending the Kenya Kwanza administration, and at the same time criticizing the government.
The past few months remarks defending Nairobi senator and ODM secretary general, Edwin Sifuna, has caught the Kenya Kwanza allies guessing Raila Odinga's exact stance ahead of 2027 Presidential elections.
Political analysts and observers have noted that the former prime minister is in dilemma, whether to abandon the sinking ship and rebrand for next election or stick and face the downfall together.
And according to former Agriculture minister, Kipruto Arap Kirwa, Raila Odinga might abandon the broad-based government and run for presidency in 2027 elections.
The Rift Valley politician noted that the intentions behind the move for the opposition leader to run for presidency is not about winning elections, but to preserve and save the ODM party.
However, Mr Kirwa warned that if the ODM boss does not ditch broad based government soon, ODM will be done in Western Kenya.
"Raila Odinga might ditch Broad-based Gov't in a matter of months. He may even decide to run for presidency in 2027, not with the sole purpose of winning, but preserving ODM Party. If he doesn't pull out of gov't, ODM will be done in Western Kenya." Kipruto Arap Kirwa warned.
