Nairobi was filled with grief and anger on Friday as a group of domestic workers, human rights activists, and Kibra residents marched to demand justice for Zaituni Kavaya, a mother of four who died in Kilimani under suspicious circumstances.
Zaituni had been working as a house help when she lost her life after allegedly being thrown from the fifth floor of her employer’s apartment.
The employer’s account suggested that she had stolen Sh5,000 and later took her own life, but her family and colleagues have rejected the claim, saying it does not match the evidence. Click here.
