"Ruto Was Defeated" Analyst Alleges Where Gachagua Outsmarted Ruto That Forced Him to Impeach His DP

The unexpected impeachment of former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, last year caught his friends and foes in awe, guessing what could have transpired that forced the duo have bitter fallout despite defying all odds to clinch power in 2022 elections.

Rigathi Gachagua has become a thorn in the flesh of president William Ruto, especially with his bombarding "one term" slogan, gaining momentum in Mount Kenya region and other parts of the country.

So far, the former Mathira Member of Parliament has joined hands with Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua, Eugine Wamalwa, Justin Muturi, Fred Matiang'i among others in effort to build a formidable coalition to unseat President William Ruto in the upcoming presidential elections.

According to political analysts and observers, the bitter difference between Rigathi Gachagua and President William Ruto was squarely about their power in Mt. Kenya, and Ruto was outgunned.

"The difference between Gachagua and Ruto was squarely about their power in Mt. Kenya, in which Ruto was outgunned.

Where does Kindiki come in? Kindiki is articulating Ruto's agenda in the region, so he is likely to be pushed more to the region than to the national space." said Prof Peter Kagwanja, Political Analyst.

During the same interview on TV 47, University of Nairobi lecturer and political analyst, Professor Herman Manyora opined that anger has united the Mountain under Gachagua against President William Samoei Ruto.

"The anger in the Mountain and above all the unity in that anger.

The Anger has united the Mountain so that they speak as one voice under Gachagua, listening to Gachagua, all united against William Samoei Ruto. I think that is what has changed the mountain." noted Herman Manyora.

In addition, Prof Manyora argued that Gachagua has succeeded in rallying Mt. Kenya together to a point he is called a tribalist.

"Gachagua has charged up the community, the community is hyper charged and it is actually turbo charged.

The Politics in Mount Kenya is extremely charged to the point people are calling him a tribalist, he has rallied the community together," Prof Herman Manyora added.
