He boasted that, because of his knowledge and political experience, he is the only candidate capable of removing President William Ruto from State House.
Mr. Gachagua was removed from office in October by both Parliament and the Senate.
His removal was pushed by accusations of tribalism as well as hostilities that had emerged between him and President Ruto.
Additionally, Mr. Gachagua and his lawyers claimed that his rights were violated because the removal process did not follow the law.
They argued that he was elected by Kenyans in the 2022 elections, and therefore his removal should also have included the president.
And according to Peter Mutuku Mutua, Governance and Leadership Expert, Gachagua is doing the right thing to declare his ambition to vie for presidency in the 2027 Elections.
Speaking in an interview with TV 47, Mr Mutuku noted that the Senate impeached the former Mathira MP unfairly, and what he is doing now is proving himself as a worthy opponent of President Ruto.
Nevertheless, he said that the final decision lies with the Judiciary, which will determine if he can be pronounced a suitable candidate for the presidency.
