President William Ruto's advisor, Makau Mutuw has hit back at Former President of Kenya, H.E Uhuru Kenyatta who today addressed the Jubilee Party Special NDC with a message of courage, renewal, and hope.
Speaking at the function held by the members and supporters of Jubilee, the former President retraced the journey of the Jubilee Party, its years at the helm of government marked by a transformative era and a lasting legacy.
He reminded Kenyans of the milestones in infrastructure, health, and especially in affordable healthcare through initiatives such as Linda Mama, alongside many other life changing projects decrying the recent moves by President William Ruto's administration to dismantle systems that were working, replacing them with untested experiments that have left Kenyans in distress.
He was clear that Jubilee will stand firmly on the side of proven progress and the people’s welfare adding that unlike some parties In the country, Jubilee Party does not belong to a certain community or region.
In his own words, Uhuru Kenyatta stated that Jubilee Party belongs to the people of Kenya regardless of where they come from.
His remarks caught the attention of section of Kenyans who took to their different social media platforms to speak on this, among them, Makau Mutua who took to X formerly Twitter to urge the former President to stay away from politics.
Professor Makau Mutua :"I watched Uhuru Kenyatta’s speech at Jubilee’s NDC. I didn’t know whether to cry or laugh. They don’t say hindsight is 20/20 for nothing. But on this I am clear — retired presidents should remain so."
