BREAKING NEWS: Scientist Prof Arthur Obel, Famous for Controversial AIDS Cure Claims, Dies After Long Illness

Professor Arthur Obel, a well-known Kenyan scientist who made headlines in the 1990s for his controversial claims of finding a cure for HIV/AIDS, has passed away.

His family confirmed that he died at a Nairobi hospital after battling a long illness.

Prof Obel was a highly respected researcher in his field, though his work often sparked heated debate.

In the early 1990s, he announced that he had discovered a drug called Kemron, which he claimed could treat HIV/AIDS. Later, he introduced another product named Pearl Omega.

These developments brought him into the limelight, but also exposed him to criticism from the medical community both in Kenya and abroad.

Many scientists dismissed his findings, arguing that the drugs had not undergone proper trials to prove their safety and effectiveness. Click here
