What Uhuru Told Jubilee Allies About His Plans For Raila Few Days After Meeting Ruto At State House

Taifa Leo has established that former President and Jubilee Party leader Uhuru Kenyatta, still recognizes Raila as the leader of Azimio and is ready to support his presidential bid in 2027 elections.

According to the report from the publication, Jubilee Party has announced that it is ready to support ODM leader Raila Odinga’s bid for the presidency in 2027, stating that it still recognizes him as the leader of the Azimio la Umoja coalition.

“We still recognize Raila as the leader of Azimio. And as a coalition, we will decide our direction. However, I tell you we are with Tinga (Raila) until circumstances change. Raila is our leader, and Uhuru is our chairman,” said Mr. Murathe.

Jubilee’s Deputy Chairman David Murathe said that Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta told them yesterday that he is prepared to support Raila in 2027, provided Raila severs his ties with the current administration.

“People can also decide to form a new coalition and bring in more leaders,” he added.

This comes after Mr. Kenyatta chaired a Jubilee National Executive Committee meeting at the party’s headquarters, after his faction won a court case over the party’s leadership dispute.
