Panic as Body Of Male Adult Found Dumped Beside The Road With Red Ants Covering Head And Legs

Residents of Lolgorian in Transmara West Sub-County were left shocked on Friday after discovering the body of an unidentified man along the Lolgorian–Kehancha road.

Joseph Mwita, a boda boda rider who stumbled upon the body while heading to work, described the scene as disturbing.

“The body was lying on its back, and it was covered with red ants on the head and legs. The face was completely disfigured,” he said.

Narok County Police Commander confirmed the incident, stating that authorities are yet to identify the man due to the severe condition of the body.

“We believe the deceased is around 35 years old, but we cannot confirm his identity at this stage,” Mutoro said.

The body was transported to Kilgoris Mission Hospital Morgue, where it will undergo autopsy and further identification.

Commander Mutoro urged members of the public who have lost relatives to report to the nearest police station, as this could help in identifying the deceased more quickly.

This discovery comes amid a worrying trend in the region, where several unidentified bodies have been found dumped along roadsides, in bushes, and near water bodies.

Recently, the body of a 59-year-old man was discovered in a thicket beside the road at Kojong’a area in Narok East Sub-County, highlighting a growing concern over such cases.

Authorities say these incidents are troubling and call for increased vigilance among residents.

“Anyone with information about missing persons or unusual activities should report to the police immediately. Your tip could help save lives or assist in identifying victims,” Commander Mutoro emphasized.

Residents expressed fear and concern over the rise of such cases in the area. Many are urging the government and police to increase patrols and improve security along major roads and isolated areas to prevent further tragedies.

The local community has also called for awareness campaigns to educate the public on reporting missing persons promptly and maintaining communication with local authorities to help reduce the occurrence of unidentified bodies in the region.

Police investigations into the recent discovery along Lolgorian–Kehancha road are ongoing.

Authorities hope that with public cooperation, they can identify the deceased and uncover the circumstances that led to this shocking incident.
