In an attempt to prevent internal strife within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), President William Ruto and ODM leader Oburu Oginga have intensified their attempts to reunite Winnie Odinga with the party's mainstream leadership.
Winnie's previous affiliation with a group headed by Edwin Sifuna, who publicly opposed the growing collaboration between ODM and Ruto's United Democratic Alliance, is what prompted the new outreach.
