“We Will Not Be Silent”: Waruguru Declares War on Govt Recent Decision

Mt Kenya politician Cate Waruguru has broken her silence following last night incident which happened at Gikomba market in Nairobi county.

Waruguru shared her frustrations through her official Facebook page few hours ago terming the scenes in Gikomba as disturbing.

"Fellow Kenyans, the scenes from the Gikomba demolition in Nairobi are deeply disturbing." Waruguru said.

Waruguru criticised Ruto’s government for failing to keep the campaigns promises leading up to 2022 election.

The vocal politician said that William Ruto and his brigade were campaigning on "kazi ni kazi" slogan putting money in people’s pockets, and protecting livelihoods yet today kenyans are witnessing the very opposite.

She said that the promises that were made to the common mwananchi are being broken in the most painful way.

Waruguru warned that leaders cannot preach empowerment and at the same time destroy the businesses that sustain families.

She said that kenyan traders, hustlers, and small-scale entrepreneurs deserve better than abrupt demolitions and silence.

According to Waruguru, Leadership must be about honesty, consistency, and protecting the people not turning against them.

She said that the opposition coalition will not be silent during this moment. She vowed to stand with the people, speak against injustice, and push for humane, people-centered solutions.
