Ground Imeshift? Bad News to Gachagua, United Opposition as UDA MP Takes an Early Lead in Mt. Kenya

Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and his United Opposition team have suffered a major political blow after details emerges that vocal United Democratic Alliance member of parliament takes an early lead in Mount Kenya region, a region where the former deputy president had declared himself as the region's political Kingpin.

This comes after Githunguri member of parliament emerges the most preferred candidate for the Githunguri constituency a head of the much awaited August 2027 general elections in the country.

This after Mizani Africa indicated that Hon. Gathoni Wamuchomba Takes an Early lead with 43.9% as her main competitor Hon. Kago wa Ldia comes at a distance second with 18.6% ahead of the August polls.

This is a bad news to the former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and his attempt to control mount Kenya politics as the ground still favours UDA party of president William Ruto even after declaring himself as the region's Kingpin.
