Meru Politician Who Has Been A Huge Supporter Of Rigathi Cries Foul After Being Sacked By Ruto

Felicity Nkirote Biriri, a top politician from the Meru County, has finally broken her silence after she was recently sacked by President William Ruto.

It can be remembered that Felicity Nkirote Biriri had served for a while as the chairperson of the Warehouse Receipt System Council (WRSC) for a while, before her appointment was recently revoked by the Head of State.

According to reports however, she has now been replaced by Patrick Mukundi Mbogo, who will serve as the chairperson of WRSC for the next three years with immediate effect.

Felicity Nkirote Biriri has however cried foul over the revocation of her appointment as the chairperson of WRSC.

Taking to her Facebook account, the politician, who is now campaigning to be the next Meru Woman Representative, has actually claimed that her removal was politically motivated.

Felicity Nkirote Biriri, who is a member of the Rigathi-led Democracy for Citizens Party, has alleged that she was removed because of how she has been a huge critic of the current regime.

"...While I respect the authority of the appointing office, and I am grateful to His Excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto, PhD, EGH, for the opportunity to have served, I am deeply saddened by the circumstances surrounding this decision, which appears to be motivated not by performance, integrity or competence, but by political intolerance and fear of independent thought.

Let me state clearly and without hesitation: if speaking truth to power, standing for young people, defending farmers, demanding justice for Meru, and associating freely with fellow citizens is a crime, then I accept this outcome with pride.

The truth, however, is that this action is sending a chilling message that loyalty to individuals is valued above loyalty to the people and the Constitution. This trend must concern every Kenyan, regardless of political affiliation..." she said.

What the future holds for Felicity Nkirote

In the same Facebook post, Felicity Nkirote Biriri also spoke about what she will now be doing since she is no longer the chairperson of WRSC.

The Democracy for Citizens Party politician revealed that she will now dedicate all her energy to the people of Meru County, as she campaigns to be the next Woman Representative of the county.
