“Every Step Shakes the Ground”: Ledama Ole Kina’s Fiery Sunday Message Sparks Debate Amid ODM Power Struggles

Ledama Ole Kina has set Kenya’s political conversation ablaze after delivering a powerful Sunday message that many interpret as a direct response to rising tensions within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

As the party navigates murmurs of internal division ahead of the 2027 General Election, the outspoken Narok Senator released a statement filled with urgency, symbolism, and defiance.

“Every step shakes the ground… no one is born a monster, they are made one… we will stitch ourselves back together… we are the fire that cannot be extinguished,” he declared.

Though he did not mention any names, the timing of the message has fueled widespread speculation. ODM has recently faced growing pressure from competing ambitions, generational shifts, and strategic disagreements over the party’s direction.
Behind closed doors, conversations about alliances, leadership roles, and electoral strategy are said to be intensifying.

Political observers argue that Ole Kina’s remarks serve both as a rallying cry and a caution. By stating that “no one is born a monster, they are made one,” the senator appeared to warn against alienation and hostility within the party ranks.

The phrase suggests that unresolved grievances and power struggles can transform allies into adversaries if not managed carefully.

At the same time, his words projected resilience. “We will stitch ourselves back together,” he said, expressing confidence that the party’s internal rifts are not beyond repair.

The metaphor of stitching implies healing rather than confrontation—an appeal for reconciliation at a moment when unity may determine ODM’s competitive strength in 2027.

His final line, “we are the fire that cannot be extinguished,” underscored a belief in ODM’s enduring political relevance.
For supporters, it was a reminder of the party’s historical resilience and grassroots strength across key regions of the country. For critics, it signaled that internal battles are far from settled.

The message quickly spread across social media, drawing varied reactions. Some supporters praised the senator for speaking boldly during a sensitive period, viewing his statement as necessary leadership in turbulent times.

Others questioned whether the fiery tone could unintentionally deepen divisions rather than calm them.
