Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa Alleges Why Rtd President Uhuru Kenyatta Has Been Engaging In Politics

Kikuyu member of parliament, Kimani Ichungwa, has criticized retired President Uhuru Kenyatta for engaging in politics.

Ichungwa, who spoke on December 30, 2025, said that the former President wants to remain the greatest of all times, adding that he thinks his pockets are going to change the will of the people.

Ichungwa spoke hours after Uhuru Kenyatta hit back at Orange Democratic Movement party politicians who accused him of fueling division in ODM.

Uhuru, who was speaking during the funeral of former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo, said that he was not ready to face individuals who have been poking his eyes, adding that he was not afraid even if he is retired.

Uhuru seemed to back the Luhyas who criticized President William Ruto's administration over lack of development in Western.

Meanwhile, Orange Democratic Movement party politicians have criticized Orange Democratic Movement party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna for saying that Uhuru supported late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in his 2022 Presidential bid.

Sifuna also criticized ODM politicians for insulting the former president.

Alego-Usonga member of parliament, Samuel Atandi, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to speak on this, said Uhuru stole Raila's votes.
