The MP was responding to ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, who said that the former President supported Raila's bid to become President of Kenya.
On December 30, 2025, Sifuna issued an apology to the former president, stating that he was sorry for the actions of some politicians who have been attacking the former president.
"In our party, there are good and insane members, so I would like to issue an apology to our former President, ignore those of us who have been attacking you because it's like they don't remember how you supported the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in his 2022 Presidential bid," Sifuna said.
His remarks caught the attention of several ODM politicians who took to social media platforms to speak on this.
Suna East Member of Parliament, Junet Mohamed, said that he was ready to become ODM Secretary General, alleging that former President Uhuru Kenyatta has been fueling division in ODM.
Sifuna, who was speaking in Suna East, said that the former President has been trying to bring ODM politicians to the United Opposition.
