Edwin Sifuna Given Warning That ODM May Handpick Another SG Should he Fail to Execute His Duties

Edwin Sifuna, Orange Democratic Movement ODM party Secretary General and Nairobi county Senator.

Youthful Activist, Kasmuel Mac Oure has given a stern warning to Nairobi county Senator Hon Edwin Sifuna, that he is not immune from being replaced as the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Secretary General (SG), should he continue failing to execute his roles and letting down the party.

Through a lengthy post on the X platform on Wednesday 21st, December, 2025, Kasmuel Mac Oure opined that, among the major role of ODM party's Secretary General, one who holds the influential position is required to maintain ardent discipline and adhere to the directives of the constitution guiding the party, but not to operate under personal opinions.

Aside from that, Kasmuel opined that Edwin Sifuna has completely failed in his role as the SG, by allegedly failing to respect his party bods Hon Oburu Oginga and failing to publicly pronounce the correct position of the party regarding the Broad-Based Government (BBG) arrangement.

Additionally, Mac Oure indicated that the other role of the ODM SG is firmly articulate correct policies fronted by the party and not to create his / her policy or presenting personal views or interests as the party's stance.

As a result, Kasmuel Mac Oure opined that Edwin Sifuna has failed to tick in all those boxes and should he continue to fail the party as he has allegedly been doing, his goose will soon be cooked.

"He (Edwin Sifuna was handpicked by the party, and the party can handpick another (SG)" Kasmuel Mac Oure posted on his X platform.
