The boy went missing during the Easter holidays in April 2025, after Paul’s sister invited his children to spend time at her home for the celebrations.
According to Paul, everything appeared normal during the Easter gatherings.
However, a few days later, when he went to pick up his children, he was shocked to learn that Ethan was missing.
Paul recounts,
“She told me that he disappeared through the wall. I went to the site with friends to search for him, but some people said I was being scammed. Later, she even claimed that my son was under a mango tree.”
Since the incident, Paul has exhausted multiple avenues to locate his son. He reported the disappearance to the authorities, but the case has seen minimal progress.
Frustrated, a friend advised him to seek help from traditional healers, known locally as witch doctors.
His first visit provided little comfort, though he was reassured that the child was hidden and would eventually be found. Unconvinced, Paul consulted a second practitioner who used a mirror in the search. This healer revealed that Paul’s sister had handed over Ethan to another woman.
Paul shared, “It felt like my sister was paid to give away my son. I was so bitter, I even thought about revenge.”
Determined, Paul visited a third witch doctor who employed a piece of timber for the investigation. As he listed the names of suspects, the timber stopped moving at his sister’s name, confirming her involvement in the alleged disappearance.
Despite these revelations from the witch doctors, some law enforcement officers expressed doubt. One officer questioned why, if these spiritual methods could identify the kidnapper, they had not led to Ethan’s recovery.
Paul now laments that he has hit a brick wall in both official and traditional attempts to locate his son.
Every visit to his sister’s home becomes an ordeal. She breaks down in tears and accuses Paul of harassment, even though the child went missing while in her care.
