Oyugi Magwanga comes from Kasipul sub county which is due for by elections, after the death of member of parliament Charles Were.
Were was killed this year in a shooting incident that happened in the city, as he left parliament headed for Ngong Rd.
In the party primaries conducted by ODM, there were claims of foul play or predetermined results that saw Boy Were announced winner.
Some aspirants like Philip Aroko boycott the process terming it as already predetermined and opted to go independent.
With Magwanga and other leaders coming out to campaign for Aroko over the weekend, this was a big political statement.
Okoth Obado, Odoyo Owidi camped in the constituency, while Evans Kidero is said to have visited Aroko's home.
This development, with Magwanga going against his boss Wanga, Owida says is a reflection of simmering tensions among them.
Opinion shapers see it as a precursor to 2027 where Magwanga is likely to run against Gladys Wanga and this will be a big test.

Oyugi is applying double standards and backward politics overtaken by the times. The medicine he's applying will also be applied to him in the future.
ReplyDeleteOyugi accuses some unnamed outsiders making decision for Kaspul and yet he's also on campaign trail with other outsiders....Obadu, Kideri etc. What's wrong when a party campaigns for its candidate?

just coz he was once rated well on use if CDF. Use of CDF is not the only measure of leadership.
