Panic in Langas as Unidentified Man Murdered; Body Found Beside the Road With His Phone Ringing

Fear has spread across the Langas area in Uasin Gishu County after locals discovered the body of an unidentified man lying by the roadside in Cherunya, on the outskirts of Eldoret town.

According to reports gathered by Pulse News, residents were left in shock after stumbling upon the lifeless body early in the morning.

The most chilling part of the discovery, witnesses said, was that the man’s phone kept ringing beside him but no one picked up.

“We found the man lying face down by the road, and his phone was still ringing. Nobody could tell who was calling or what had happened,” said Ruth Malala, one of the residents who first saw the body.

Police officers arrived shortly after being alerted by the public. They secured the scene and moved the body to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) mortuary for further examination and identification.

Investigations are currently ongoing to uncover what may have led to the killing.

Residents say this is not an isolated case. They claim that mysterious killings and violent attacks have become common in Langas over the past few months.

“This is not the first time we are witnessing such a thing,” said Ronnie Kalwanyi, another local.

“People are living in fear. We are asking the government to step in and restore safety in our area.”

Others believe a gang could be behind the rising insecurity. “We are no longer safe, especially at night,” said Mark Mudenyo, a resident of Cherunya.

“We want police patrols increased so that innocent people don’t keep losing their lives.”

Police sources say they are following leads that could help identify the victim and those behind the crime.

Meanwhile, residents are calling for urgent intervention as fear and tension continue to grip the community.

The murder has once again brought to light the growing concern about insecurity in Langas, leaving many residents hoping that justice will soon be served
