Analyst Names The Only Person Who Can Make Matiang'i Presidential Aspirant

Political analyst Okango thinks that Fred Matiang’i is more of a bargaining tool than a true candidate for president. He suggests that a real presidential candidate should come from the people of Kenya, not be pushed by certain individuals.

Right now, Matiang’i seems more like a piece on a chessboard than someone who can truly influence national politics.

Okango wonders if Matiang’i genuinely wants to be president or if he is just positioning himself for future negotiations, either within the opposition or with President Ruto’s team after the election.

He believes that the numbers are not in Matiang’i’s favor. According to him, Kenya’s politics are still heavily influenced by tribal affiliations, and without strong support from a particular region, no candidate can seriously contend for the presidency.

Additionally, he argues that Matiang’i lacks the charm and political support needed to make a real impact nationally, which makes his aspirations seem more like a strategic move than a realistic presidential campaign.
