During a recent TikTok livestream, Brian revealed that his stepfather, Scott, had passed away shortly after the death of his mother.
The young man shared that life has not been easy for him and his younger sister, Sheila, since their mother’s passing.
He explained that they have been struggling to move forward while dealing with the loss of two loved ones.
“I lost both my mum and my stepdad almost at the same time. We have not been mourning one person; we have been mourning two,” Brian said during the emotional livestream.
He also mentioned that his mother had left behind a few items that were very special to her, including a stool worth KSh 100,000 which was a gift from Scott. She had warned him never to sell it, and Brian said he has kept that promise.
“That stool means a lot to me. It reminds me of both my mum and Scott,” he added.
Brian further shared that he has faced challenges from people he once considered friends and family.
He claimed that some tried to take advantage of him and even attempted to access his bank accounts. Because of that, he has learned to be careful about whom he trusts.
“If people really wanted to help, they would have done it when my mum was still alive,” he said. “Now it’s just me and my sister trying to stand strong.”
Kenyans online have continued to send him comforting messages, urging him to stay strong and remember the values his parents taught him.
Many praised his courage for speaking openly about his pain, saying it will help others dealing with grief to know they are not alone.
