Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has hit back at Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna after the senator made remarks about him on Citizen TV on Monday morning.
Sudi, often criticized for his academic background, responded with a bold statement, using strong vocabulary to dismiss Sifuna’s claims.
"Sifuna, while education is undeniably important, effective leadership requires more than just academic credentials. It's a blend of intelligence and inherent qualities, something that Wamunyoro's lapdog doesn't seem to fathom," Sudi stated.
He went on to criticize Sifuna’s approach to politics, accusing him of being disrespectful.
"Sifuna let me ask you this, our voters, are they graduants? Can you compare me with Sifuna? Your IQ is not even a quarter of mine. I am in another class and you don't have even a quarter of my knowledge. Don't be stupid talking like a kid, you are used to insulting and rubbishing other people but not Sudi. You are nothing and you don't reason like a form four drop out. It is not about school, or PHD, it is about calculations and knowledge," stated Sudi.
The heated exchange comes after Sifuna took a swipe at President William Ruto’s leadership, suggesting that his close associates, including Sudi, lack the intellectual capacity to govern effectively.
Sifuna said Ruto is not going to win anything when he is busy associating himself with academic dwarfs like Oscar Sudi.
"There is little that Ruto can do to save his presidency, and he knows it. He tells us that he has a PhD and that nobody should lecture him. But I have never seen anyone with a PhD hang out with a Standard Two dropout, because you will reduce intelligence to Class Eight. They say birds of a feather flock together. How can a PhD holder hang out with Sudi?" Sifuna posed.
Sudi dismissed the remarks, arguing that leadership is about wisdom and strategy, not just academic qualifications.
The war of words between the two leaders has set social media ablaze, with supporters from both sides taking to social media to debate the issue.
