Migori Senator Eddy Oketch was removed from the Senate chamber after a heated disagreement during a session chaired under the authority of Senate Speaker Amason Kingi. The incident happened when Senator Oketch strongly protested over the order in which questions were being handled in the House.
Witnesses inside the chamber said the senator stood up and insisted that a question on healthcare should be given priority before other business continued.
He argued that the issue was urgent and needed immediate attention because many Kenyans were waiting for answers.
