Was “People’s President” Raila Odinga Murdered? Salah Clears the Air

Oketch Salah has once again spoken out against the persistent rumors circulating online about the alleged death of opposition leader Raila Odinga, urging Kenyans to exercise caution when sharing information on social media.

During a recent public gathering, Salah dismissed the claims as entirely unfounded and warned of the dangers such misinformation poses to public discourse.

He emphasized that spreading false stories about prominent leaders not only misleads the public but can also create unnecessary panic and confusion.

“These rumors are baseless and serve no purpose other than to stir unrest,” Salah said. He noted that in today’s digital age, information spreads rapidly, and unchecked stories can quickly gain traction, even when they are false.

Salah highlighted the responsibility of both leaders and citizens to ensure that the information they consume and share is accurate.

He also pointed out that social media, while a valuable tool for communication, has become a breeding ground for unverified claims.

“Every Kenyan has a role to play in stopping the circulation of fake news. We must verify before we share,” Salah urged.

The political figure called on media outlets, community leaders, and ordinary citizens to work together in promoting truthful communication. He stressed that protecting the reputations of public figures and maintaining public trust requires collective effort.

Salah’s statement comes at a time when misinformation has increasingly influenced public opinion in Kenya.

By speaking out, he hopes to remind the public of the importance of discernment and responsibility in the digital space, emphasizing that truth and verification should always guide online interactions.
