UDA Senator Spells Doom For DP Kindiki in 2027 "He Will Not be Ruto's Running Mate"

Murang’a Senator Joe Nyutu has claimed that Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki will not be President William Ruto’s running mate in the 2027 elections.

Speaking in an interview with TV47, Nyutu accused Ruto’s administration of sidelining leaders from the Mt. Kenya region, including Prof. Kindiki.

He claimed that Ruto has decided to humiliate any leader from the mountain, adding that he knows they will not add any value to him in 2027.

“President William Ruto and his cronies have decided to annihilate any leader from Mt. Kenya. He has no value for any leader in Central Kenya. Even [professor Kithure Kindiki will not be made Ruto's DP in 2027 because Ruto has decided that no leader from the mountain will be groomed to take over leadership,” Nyutu alleged.

He further claimed that opposition leader Raila Odinga and his allies would take over the running mate position in 2027.

Nyutu described President Ruto as a leader who does not accept differing opinions adding that Ruto does not take NO for an answer. He said that Justin Muturi will also be kicked out soon for speaking against abductions.

“William Ruto does not want anybody who can think independently. He can never take ‘no’ for an answer from anybody,” he said.

The senator linked the recent reshuffle in the National Assembly to a deliberate plan to weaken emerging leaders from Mt. Kenya.

“Even if you look at the ongoing Parliamentary purge, the casualties are from Mt. Kenya. The looming purge in Cabinet, the casualties will be from Mt. Kenya,” Nyutu claimed.

He pointed out that key leaders from the region have already been removed from powerful positions.

“That is why Rigathi Gachagua is no longer there, Ndindi Nyoro is no longer in the position he held, and that is why Mithika Linturi was fired from Cabinet,” he stated.

These remarks come amid rising political tension and speculation about the 2027 elections, with shifting alliances and power struggles playing out within the ruling party.
