The Education Service Commission (ESC), working with the Ministry of Education and Sports, has shared the names of 1,273 teachers and non-teaching staff who passed tests and are now ready for oral interviews.
These jobs are for secondary seed schools in the Busoga region.
These schools are special government schools built under the Uganda Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfer (UGIFT) Program.
They want to hire good teachers and staff to work in these schools. The oral interview is the last step after candidates passed written tests.
The oral interviews will happen from May 19th to May 23rd, 2025. They will take place in Kampala at the SESEMAT Hostel, Kololo Senior Secondary School. Every day, the interviews start at 8:00 in the morning.
Dr. Asuman Lukwago, the permanent secretary of ESC, said the shortlisted candidates should bring their original certificates, transcripts, and national identity cards.
He warned candidates not to pay anyone money because ESC services are free. If a candidate’s name is not on the list, they should know they did not pass.

The oral interviews will help ESC find the best teachers and staff for the jobs.
Besides teachers, some non-teaching staff are also being hired.
They help in running the schools smoothly. These jobs offer good opportunities for people in Busoga who want to work in education.
The ESC also released lists for other seed schools in regions like Ankole and Kigezi. These areas have many teachers also waiting for government jobs.
The government is working hard to give more people chances to get stable jobs in education.
Candidates must attend their interviews on the dates given.
The ESC said no changes to the schedule will be allowed. This rule is to keep the process fair for all candidates.
The Ministry of Education and ESC continue to fight corruption in recruitment.
They remind people that applying for these jobs should be free and fair. No one should pay bribes or other fees.
This recruitment is good news for many young teachers and school staff. It gives them hope to start or grow their careers in education.
Many families depend on these jobs to improve their lives.
