Former Head of Government Delivery Service Dr Peter Mbae, who resigned from President William Ruto's government back in 2023, has today said that he is sympathizing with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Dr Oburu Odinga.

Since he is not used to the kind of speed in politics which he is currently being subjected to, after taking over the ODM party leadership mantle from his late brother Raila Odinga.

Speaking during an interview with K24 Television today morning, Dr Mbae argued that he feels sympathy for ODM boss Oburu Odinga because he is not used to the kind of speed, which he is going through now.

He added that the speed which President William Ruto is pushing for a coalition deal with ODM, and the party's internal wrangles is a lot to Oburu considering his advanced age. Therefore it is not good for him health-wise and if he was his dad, he would have told him to avoid it.

He further claimed that President William Ruto is pushing to have a coalition deal with ODM as soon as yesterday, but in real sense he does not know that he is going to enter into a coalition with a shell. ODM is no longer as strong as it was in Raila's reign.
