Politician Alleges Who In ODM Could Easily Replace Kindiki If He Doesn't Win Mt Kenya For Ruto in 2027

Meru politician Michael Makarina has predicted that a possible reshuffle could be in place to replace current deputy president Kithure Kindiki.

Issuing a stern warning to Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Mr Makarina warned that if Prof Kindiki fails to deliver Mt Kenya votes to President William Ruto in 2027, then his time in the ruling coalition will be limited.

Speaking onYouTuber on Wednesday, August 17, 2025, Makarina urged the second in command to resist giving out handouts in the name of empowerment initiatives, warnung that if it backfire, he will lose his DP seat to Gladys Wanga, governor of Homa Bay.

He accused Prof Kindiki for using money donations to win over Meru voters, saying the tactic is bound to fail after it failed to connect with the local artistes and grassroots constituents.

"Kindiki won't even see the Meru artists. So, where does he expect to win? He has been appointed Deputy President, but he refuses to engage. We tell him,
"Thank you, Mr President, for giving our son that seat; however, Kindiki must understand that the role was given to bring Ruto votes, not general Kenyan votes.

He is unable to deliver for Kenya. Makarina stated that if Ruto had intended, he would have brought votes for Joho, Mudavadi, and Aden Duale.
