Popular Kenyan musician Bahati is once again trending on social media—this time for a hilarious photoshop fail.
The singer had earlier promised to shave his signature dreadlocks if his favourite football club, Arsenal, was knocked out of the UEFA Champions League.
Arsenal did lose, but Bahati has yet to keep his promise.
Instead of shaving, Bahati shared a video on social media using a shaved head filter to make it look like he had cut his hair.
But fans were quick to notice that his dreadlocks were still showing at the back of his head.
“Bro, we can still see the dreads behind your neck. Who are you trying to fool?” one fan commented.
Another joked, “Editor should be fired! This filter is not working.”
In the video, Bahati pretended that a barber had visited his house.
He even started the recording as if the shaving was about to begin, but he ended the video before anyone could see the actual haircut.
Speaking online, Bahati wrote, “Ever since I shaved my hair, people say I now look like a pastor or even a politician.
Some are calling me an honourable member of parliament.”
However, his fans are not convinced.
One follower said, “You’re becoming more of a comedian than a musician these days.” Another added, “We love your jokes, but please don’t lie to us.”
Bahati also posted an old family photo where he tried to edit the image to make it appear recent.
But fans noticed it was the same picture he had shared months ago, only with a few changes.
The father of five has also been in the news recently over a past court issue with Kenyan football star Victor Wanyama.
Bahati had posted a photo of Wanyama and his wife Diana Marua, which caused problems.
He later explained, “Wanyama’s brother tried to reach me, but I saw the message too late. I didn’t mean any harm, and I’ve already apologised.”
Despite the drama, Bahati continues to post online and entertain fans.
